Our gallery opened in 2006, with two owners both being artists. There was a need for a gallery in Taos, New Mexico, which had a focus on contemporary art, as opposed to the typical offering of western and landscape paintings. We quickly discovered the vast amount of early modern and abstract artists who arrived in the 1940s and 50s, and since opening, we have had several significant exhibitions for this group known as the Taos Moderns. Our eye as contemporary and modern artists helps to refine our inventory and to curate beautiful exhibitions. Specializing in early Taos Moderns, Mid-Century Modern, pre and post-war modern & abstract art, as well as a select group of the best current contemporary, modern, and abstract regional and nationally known artists.
