Our gallery opened in 2006, with two owners, both being artists. There was a need for a gallery in Taos, New Mexico, which focused on contemporary art as opposed to the typical offering of Western and landscape paintings. We quickly discovered the vast amount of early modern and abstract artists who arrived in the 1940s and 50s. Since opening, we have had several significant exhibitions for this group known as the Taos Moderns. Our eye as contemporary and modern artists helps to refine our inventory and to curate beautiful exhibitions. Offering important works by historic New Mexico artists, Taos Moderns, post-war abstract art as well as a selection of notable contemporary artists.
