Arawak Art Gallery, founded by its owner and Director Mildred Canahuate in 1981 in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic, promotes original modern and contemporary artworks by emerging and established Dominican artists. The gallery’s regular program includes high quality artworks from important private collections and a great variety of selected artworks on paper, especially drawings.
Arawak has organized multiple activities that include: exhibitions, art auctions, drawing fairs, and dialogues with critics and artists with the purpose of increasing an appreciation for art and raising awareness of its importance in our lives.
