Artpace

Our core service is the International Artist-in-Residence program. Each year, we invite three guest curators to each select one international, one national, and one Texas-based artist for a two-month residency followed by a two-month exhibition of each artists’ new work. Resident artists receive a studio, living stipend, apartment, production budget, access to a fully-equipped workshop, use of Artpace vehicles, and support of a full-time studio staff. At the end of each exhibition, artworks are returned to the artists and go on to be in collections and exhibitions around the world. We connect with our local community through public programs like Welcome Dinners, Curator Talks, Teen Council, tours, opening receptions, workshops, and community events and festivals.
