About
CAN Foundation, founded in 2008, is a non-profit art center based in Seoul, Korea. CAN focuses on supporting and creating a network of young creative minds through various artist supporting program and art education program for students.
The Contemporary Art Network (CAN) Foundation was established in 2008 as a nonprofit organization that supports art creation. It was certified as a social enterprise by the Korean Ministry of Employment and Labor (MOEL) in 2011, and it discovers and supports artists, as well as seeks to hold exchange exhibitions and build a global network with artists outside Korea. CAN Foundation pursues public interest in the art field by managing cultural exchange programs, culture-promoting public projects, and art bus projects, thereby expanding social solidarity in the field. It also raises funds by engaging in businesses with contents accumulated through cultural and art activities and devises a new distribution system in the field.
