Established in 2018, D’Arcy Simpson Art Works started as a project between Ellen D’Arcy Simpson and Michael Simpson, to create a space to make and show their artwork, exhibit the work of fellow Hudson Valley Artists and Artisans and to invite the members of the local community and visitors to Hudson to see, consider and collect art in a welcoming, accessible setting.
Our focus is on emerging to established Hudson Valley-based artists. Each artist is provided with individualized attention, strong promotional support and a transformable gallery space to make their own. The gallery also works to build community in support of local art and artists through the development of initiatives including the annual Art Works Senior Award to Hudson High School art students, the Hudson Second Saturday
