Galeri Nev

Founded in 1984, Galeri Nev has since held close to 300 exhibitions. Initially specialized in Turkish 'early modernists', the gallery's program has evolved to include artists from the latter half of the 20th century and the three following generations. Investing in developing theoretical approaches to art history and to art criticism in Turkey, which have remained limited despite the fruitful production of art, the gallery distinguished itself not only in editing and publishing art books and catalogues, but also in establishing an art library open to all researchers. Nev is preparing to celebrate its 40th anniversary in 2024.
