Yannick Durand is expert in Pre-Columbian Art. Graduated from Ecole du Louvre and University of Paris IV Panthéon-Sorbonne. In 2007, he created Galerie 1492 with the aim of offering authentic, high quality objects of irreproachable provenance. Recognized as one of the key players in the Pre-Columbian Art market in Europe, he exhibits regularly in the main exhibitions: at the Parcours des Mondes, at Bruneaf, at the Biennale des Antiquaires, at the BRAFA or even at the TEFAF-Maastricht. Far from being confined in an ivory tower, he does not hesitate to assist other specialists and the most efficient analysis laboratories essential to the promotion of the work.
