Galerie Patrik Fröhlich is located in the old town of Zürich – within five minutes walking distance from the Kunsthaus Zürich – and is specialized in old African and Oceanic art. The exhibitions which take place in the gallery are complemented with works of 20th century art that among others display the reference of modern art to the formal solutions found in works of art from Africa and Oceania. Since over 30 years we put an emphasis on provenance research; our curated selection has a focus on significant works of art, which had to unconditionally fulfil their ritual function and whose well-documented collection history show the way and the relevance of the particular work.
