After training and working for many years as a Michelin Star chef George Thornton turned to the world of art. Gaining experience within the art Publishing industry he set up his own Nottingham Art Gallery in 2010. Specialising in modern and contemporary art and working closely with emerging and international artists George Thornton looks for unique and inspirational art. Artists with exceptional skill and integrity. The use of interesting mediums and materials is key. In the Gallery he tries to bridge the gap between interesting and commercial art. Looking to enhance interior design spaces and develop client collections. Encouraging up and coming talent whilst dealing with blue chip, already well established worldwide names such as Damien Hirst, Harland Millar and Banksy.
