HEMPHILL has set the standard for the representation and exhibition of contemporary art in Washington, DC since its founding in 1993. The exhibition schedule features modern & contemporary art in all media by artists ranging from emerging to mid-career to modern masters. Throughout its history, HEMPHILL has produced exhibitions and experimental projects in transitional and non-traditional architectural spaces. Recent projects include an exhibition program at the Carroll Square Gallery in downtown Washington DC, and temporary projects at 1700 L Street.
