Ilmin Museum of Art aims to communicate the aesthetic value that lies in the lives of the public by planning visual, cultural, and contemporary visual culture exhibitions that capture the times and life.
The Ilmin Cultural Foundation is a non-profit organization established in 1994 to uphold the wishes of Ilmin Kim Sangman (1910-1994), who devoted his life to the development of Korean media and culture. In order to commemorate his firm belief in the idea that a society with upright standards is one that values its culture and arts, the Ilmin Cultural Foundation has laid the foundation for supporting both well-renowned and up-and-coming artists through the Ilmin Cultural Award and the Ilmin Museum of Art. The Ilmin Museum of Art also strives to promote the development and spread of the visual culture of Korea.
