About
Located at the gateway of the Arts District of New Orleans, the mission of LeMieux Galleries has been to unite seasoned collectors and new art enthusiasts with art and artists from Louisiana and the Southern US.
LeMieux Galleries opened its doors in 1983 founded by New Orleanian, Denise Berthiaume on Pelican Avenue in Algiers Point. By 1987 LeMieux Galleries had expanded to show the work of Louisiana and “third coast” artists and moved to Julia Street in New Orleans. Since 1990 we have been at our current location at 332 Julia Street. In 2015 long time employees Christy Wood and Jordan Blanton purchased the gallery. Since then they have widened the galleries focus on art of the Southern US and expanded their roster to include more emerging artists.
