About
Loman Pawlitschek, a self taught artist, created Loman Art Gallery in 2011. She opened her doors to the public and invited many varied african artists to exhibit alongside her in exhibitions such as the Biennial of Dakar, the Partcours and other independent exhibitions.
Since 2011, Loman Art Galerie has hosted contemporary art exhibitions throughout the years. The founder, Loman Pawlitschek, an Australian, moved to Dakar in 2007. She feels the lively and creative force of the Senegalese capital, which has since become a central place for contemporary African art with events such as the Biennial of Dak'Art. Passionate about African art, she opens her home to collective exhibitions where along with her own work, pieces of art from other great Senegalese artists are also exhibited. Being a self-taught artist leads her to broaden her skills using many varied materials in creating different objects. With an eclectic program, the gallery is committed to a permanent and attractive evolution, inviting audiences to discover varied and original universes.
