New York City Ballet is one of the foremost dance companies in the world, based at Lincoln Center, with a roster of more than 90 dancers, a 62-member orchestra, and an unparalleled repertory of modern masterpieces.
New York City Ballet Art Series is based in the Company's rich history of working with visual artists. Each season, a contemporary artist living and working in NYC is selected and offered a commission to create an original work of art that is inspired by ballet/movement, NYCB’s history, its dancers, or its world-renowned repertory and is displayed in the Company’s Lincoln Center home. The site-specific installation is on view during the Company’s six-week winter performance period.
