Based in Rio Janeiro, Brazil, Portas Vilaseca Galeria has been promoting since 2012 a dynamic agenda of exhibitions and special artistic projects. The gallery represents 24 artists from the recent Brazilian contemporary art realm within its different contexts.
Portas Vilaseca Galeria was founded by Jaime Portas Vilaseca in 2012 in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. Based in the Leblon neighbourhood until 2018, the gallery then moved to a three-storey building in Botafogo, where it has been promoting a dynamic agenda of exhibitions and special artistic projects, among other actions. Currently, the gallery represents 24 artists from the recent Brazilian contemporary art realm within its different contexts. Born in different generations and from different regions in Brazil, the artists develop their researches in several languages – painting, drawing, sculpture, printmaking, photography, video, installation and performance.
