The Hole is a contemporary art gallery run by Kathy Grayson with a focus on emerging art. We have two locations in New York and one in Los Angeles, and we are known for our yearly thematic group shows highlighting important new tendencies with a focus on curation.

The Hole is a contemporary art gallery opened by Kathy Grayson in July of 2010. Now with two galleries in New York City and a 9,000 square-foot branch opened 2022 in Los Angeles, we represent twenty international artists and share over 20 solo and group exhibitions per year. Our focus is on emerging art including many artists exploring new digital frontiers while foregrounding female artists, and we are known for our yearly thematic group exhibitions highlighting important new tendencies with a focus on curation. In addition we host performances, events and special projects across disciplines to support collaboration and our local artist communities.
