EXHIBITION DATES: November 2, 2017 – November 27, 2017
ReMARKable: Mark-making has been the visual language of artists throughout the ages. Artists express their concepts, ideas and emotional reactions to the world with a variety of media that includes paint, drawing, sculpture, photography and mixed media.
Rick Doehring paints abstracts, both social commentary and personal reflections. Penny Arntz shows her geometric abstracts. Beth Schmohr’s abstracts are reactions to emotional and visual experiences. Iben Vestergaard paints glimpses of history, figuratively and in abstract imagery. Stephen Robeck takes photos of nature and magically transforms them into works with abstract sensibilities that often appear 3-dimensional. Pat Calonne paints abstracts that speak of nature and universal human challenges. Paulo Lima tells tales of sociological conundrums with somewhat eerie photographs of antique mannequins that he collects, dresses and adorns with found objects. Duane Dammeyer creates sculptures of social icons and abstract imagery. Taj Vaccarella paints abstracts and expressionist canvases that put voice to his travels and experiences.
