THE LOUNGE AT {9} PRESENTS “BLURRED DREAMS: THE ART OF LEANDRO PUCA”

Phoenix, AZ, June 18, 2018– Join us as the Lounge at {9} presents the work of Italian artist Leandro Puca with his new exhibit, “Blurred Dreams”, opening First Friday, July 6th, 2018, 6-10 PM at {9} The Gallery, 1229 Grand Avenue, Phoenix, AZ. Meet the artist and discover his fascination with the hazy recollections of dreams and memories at the Artist’s Reception on July 20th.

Born in 1979, in Brescia, Italy, Leandro Puca is an accomplished painter, photographer, and model. He achieves the unique look of his paintings by mixing alternating bands of unmoving details and IMPASTO with flowing horizontal sweeps of his spatula. The result is a representation of dreams: “Everybody remembers what they dreamed but with unclear vision, blurred, and surrounded by a sort of flow”. Puca wants to show the second before and the second after the action, giving movement to the picture.

“Blurred Dreams” runs throughout the month of July at {9} The Gallery.

{9} The Gallery is a contemporary art gallery located in Phoenix’s Historic Grand Avenue District. Founded in 2012, the gallery is committed to showing local, national, and international artists of the highest quality. {9} also incorporates music, poetry, dance, workshops and yoga to create an overall creative environment for self-expression in the downtown Phoenix area.
