The 17 vintage prints in Leonard Freed's "Kate Series" is by a photojournalist with a long and extraordinary documentary career. In 2002 Freed approached a new photographic subject with ardor - a study on the nude. The undertaking became an experimental series of nudes for which Freed photographs model Kate with surprising results--. The images reveal complicity between photographer and subject, a joyousness in staging (photographer and model) and subject (model and friends) for a series of aesthetic and expressive portraits by one of the best documentary and 20th-century masters of photography.
