All the artists have outstanding international recognition and a museum presence. Of the five artists that we present, two of them have already passed away and have left their mark as great masters in Uruguay and the world.

CARLOS PÁEZ VILARÓ (1923–2014)
He is a painter, ceramicist, sculptor, muralist who has worked in literature and film production. He is a "builder of things" as he defines himself. Casapueblo, the "habitable sculpture" that he built was his house, workshop, hotel and current museum of his work.
