Teresa Cabo Her passionate oil paintings are full of life, dynamism and emotion, going to and from the stylized to the completely symbolic images, questioning the visible and the material. She has participated in various exhibitions and international fairs, thus obtaining numerous distinctions. She is a permanent artist in several galleries. Her artwork integrates private collections around the world and is part of the collection of the Museo de Historia Natural Torres de la Llosa located in the city of Montevideo.
Silvia Umpiérrez Textile artist, teacher. She has been honored for her work, and her creations are exhibited in Uruguay as well as internationally, and are part of private collections. Currently, she has her own atelier in which she develops her personal work, and her activity specially linked to the area of the local criollo tradition and her work with the loom, and other textile variations. The target of her personal research binds rescuing the memories and traditions of her ancestors updated through the dialog with different materials, which proceed from a connection and search from and through nature. Leaves, fibers, wools and images shape a material that from its different versions is part of her existence and as such is transformed in every new project.
