There is a beautiful and tranquil quality to the Text-based sculptures of artist Scott Hazard. Scott carefully tears and cuts paper, which is evenly spaced and aligned with wood to form immersive landscape gardens. There is order and serenity in each work. As the viewers' gaze enters and moves through the work, the vision becomes a tactile experience. Each sculpture becomes a poetic space for the eyes to linger on. Scott gently places words that move through each sculpture and provide for powerful reflection and quiet observation.
