ÆRENA Galleries & Gardens invites you to celebrate NONSTOP POP a solo exhibition by local Sonoma County artist Brett Hammond. Exploring his own intrigue in satire and romance through pop art traditions, Hammond’s paintings pay homage to the distinctive and famous art genre. The dramas in his paintings capture wine country’s quirky and critical joie de vivre.

Inspired by the unforgettable style of pop art, he started working on several panels at once producing bold imagery and bright color palettes. Hammond redefined his content using parody and tongue in cheek one liners narrated in the character’s speech bubbles. Wine country culture is illustrated humorously through love dynamics of self, romantic partners and luxury experiences. His stimulating methodology strongly integrates pop art’s unique and recognizable punch creating a NONSTOP POP.
