The gallery will present a group exhibition featuring historical figures such as John M Armleder, Jeff Koons, Richard Pettibone, Pablo Picasso, Richard Prince, Ugo Rondinone and Christopher Wool along with artists Jean-Baptiste Bernadet, Brian Calvin, John McAllister and Ida Tursic & Wilfried Mille among others. The presentation aims to reveal the diversity of contemporary artistic currents within the gallery’s cross-generational program. As its central theme, the exhibition explores floral subject matter, with selected works addressing the flower in various ways. Long a fascination of art, creative interpretations of flora vary with representations ranging from the abstract and conceptual to the romantic. Flowers are emblematic of peace and uncontested as a symbol of love. A defining part of our modern era culminated in the vibrant flower power movement, whose message defined peace using vivid and fluid designs. By placing contemporary works with historical pieces, viewers are given the opportunity to see how artists of different ages inform each other’s creative endeavours. This exhibition is also an opportunity to get a rare glimpse at a motif that pervades the history of art.
