Deborah Bell has a strong connection to nature, where the seasonal shifts and ever-changing skies of her surrounding environment provide a foundation for her art. After drawing up an “inner terrain”, Bell collages layers of paint, pencil marks and found papers in what Bell describes as a ritual act. As she creates, Bell seeks to reveal what was once hidden, where marks become galaxies and lines record a moment in time.
