NIGHT FLYING: Visionary Artist Chris Roberts-Antieau to Debut New Work at Antieau Gallery

Nationally recognized New Orleans artist and gallery owner Chris Roberts-Antieau has unveiled a new selection of work entitled “Night Flying.”
Antieau Gallery showcases the work of celebrated and admired fabric appliqué artist Chris Roberts-Antieau. As a self-taught visionary artist, Antieau’s work tells stories of nature, perception, and above all, the human experience. Her work is featured in museums all over the country, including Baltimore’s American Visionary Art Museum, and in the personal collections of influential people including former President Bill Clinton and Oprah Winfrey.
“Night Flying” will feature previously unseen works of art that showcase both Antieau’s powerful artistic vision, as well as her masterful finesse and craftsmanship. Each piece possesses such a visual and emotional depth that they take on lives of their own.
The opening reception on April 16 will also include hors d’oeuvre and beverages, and will conclude with one of Antieau Gallery’s infamous dance parties. Antieau Gallery is open daily from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. and is located at 927 Royal Street.
