Glendale, CA -- Ararat Gallery is pleased to present a group exhibition of Eastern European Contemporary Artists. The "Places Faces Spaces" will run from March 4th, 2017- March 25th, 2017 with an opening reception on Saturday, March 4th from 6-9 p.m. Thirteen gallery artists will be featured in the show: Ara Alekian, Ayvaz Avoyan, Daron Mouradian, Ervand Kochar, Frank Gasparyan, Gabriel Manoukian, Gagik Gevorgyan, Hagop Hagopian, Sargis Hamalbashyan, Tigran Tsitoghdzyan, Vahagn Igityan, Vahram Davtian, and Varoujan Vardanian. Many of the works are inspired pieces that explore unconventional painting techniques such as, the hyper-realism with a clash of abstraction of the figure, depth of paint on canvas: thickness of face to flatness of space. For the majority of artists, the use of color is important and often explosive. “Places Faces Spaces” will run through March 25, 2017. Gallery hours are Tuesday – Saturday 10– 6:00, and by appointment. For additional information please contact firstname.lastname@example.org // 818.800.0144.
