Announcing a new exhibition “12 x 12 in 12” opening Saturday
December 10th, in Arcadia Contemporary’s Culver City Gallery.
This exhibition will feature works by over 20 artists, new and
familiar to the gallery’s patrons.
The title suggests the endeavor of the show. The gallery has
asked artists to work within the parameters of 12 by 12 inches
to create new and distinctive works. Nick Alm, Casey Baugh, Rob
Browning, Michael Chapman, Korin Fought, Dan Quintana, Ron
Hicks, Katie G. Whipple and Julio Reyes are among many other
artists contributing works.
This exhibition is unique in its approach to scale. Focusing on
this small surface, the artists can offer many different visions
of minutia and detail, while maintaining their distinctive styles.
Creating intimate compositions within the dimensions prescribed
results in a fascinating array of perspectives. Landscapes, still
lifes, portraits and more will be among the images presented
in Arcadia Contemporary’s final show of 2016. Please join us
Saturday, December 10th for the opening reception for “12 by 12
in 12” from 6 - 9 pm. The exhibition runs through Dec. 31st.
