New York, NY – Arco Gallery is pleased to present an exclusive online exhibition featuring a selection of works by Martin Canin. The “Primary Elegance Show” will run from April 14, 2018 – May 14, 2018 as an exclusive of the Artsy platform.
Born in Brooklyn, NY, Canin received his major art training at Syracuse University, where he was awarded the B.F.A. in 1951. The following two years he studied and worked on the West Coast in Carmel, California, and in 1959 he went to Tokyo, Japan, where he had his first one-man show in 1960.His work has been exhibited in Europe, Japan and the United States, including several one-man shows at the historic Graham Gallery at 1014 Madison Avenue, NY.
The “Primary Elegance Show” presents a selection of works focusing on the vibrant luminosity of primary colors as they interlace in rigorous striped geometries.
The “Primary Elegance Show” is the prelude to a November 2018 show that will take place at the Arco Gallery location and featuring the works of Martin Canin and Gian Berto Vanni.
