Soomin Jung Remmler originally from Seoul, South Korea, and relocated in San Antonio, TX where she received her MFA degree from the University of Texas at San Antonio in 2008. She is known for meticulous drawings and use of bright colors. Currently, she is an art instructor at Texas State University in San Marcos, TX, as well as a nationally and internationally exhibiting artist. Her work has shown in Texas, Illinois, Ohio, Louisiana, New York, Missouri and Utah in the United States, Toronto and Ontario in Canada, Florence in Italy, Switzerland and South Korea. Her work is acquired by a number of private and public art collectors including Aspen Art Collection and the University of Texas at San Antonio Art Collection. Her exhibition history includes solo and group selected exhibitions such as New Texas Talent 2016, Hunting Art Prize 2015, Texas Draws IV, Texas Biennial, Texas National, International Drawing Annual, Bradly International.
