Lendable Mendable Vendable is an interactive performance installation investigating objects that live and work with us as peculiar agents of (dis)satisfaction and (un)fulfilment. A residential reception area will become a restorative adventure game show retail park...for things. Members of the public are invited to bring an object from their homes that is no longer needed or desired. These objects will be put through a series of physical and virtual transformations using a custom-built, human-controlled machine. Systematically analysed, processed and enhanced in front of a live audience, the objects will then be returned to their owners or auctioned online. This will all be amplified within the space, streamed online, projected onto the front windows into the early hours, and finally edited into a short film.
