In March 2019, Arte Globale introduces the exciting new series by Kevin Graham.
London, 3 March 2019 — Arte Globale is excited to announce Kevin Graham solo exhibition. The gallery’s showcase will mark the first-ever solo presentation of the series ‘Aerial’ by Boston born, Miami-based photographer Kevin Graham, which also happens to be the photographer’s first solo show.
'I believe that my works help add to the conversation that we need to preserve all the good we have on this planet as add some urgency to the direction we intend to head in moving forward. As my work evolves, I do believe we will have the ability to compare and contrast the missteps we have taken in the past and progression we have implemented on a local and subsequent global level. The world is OURS and we must do better.' Kevin Graham
The Aerial series is a journey of discovering our planet from a different point of view. Kevin Graham focuses “on the true beauty this world has to offer from up above’” in the artist’s own worlds. Traveling extendedly for his photography project, the artist utilises vibrant colours combined with mystical shades to evoke movement and breath life out of each and every photograph. Demonstrating that a photographer can make or construct—rather than simply take—photographs about modern life and produce them on an epic scale. While visiting Hawaii Kevin Graham notices how fragile can be nowadays the equilibrium between sea and land, us and the planet. 8 Miles and Little beach, Road to Hana, are amongst his latest works, which focus on the beauty of our planet and humanity’s impact on the environment. The artworks have been beautifully photographed, yet in extreme highs and conditions, using state of the art high tech devises. Having the best balance in the composition, with vibrant emerald shades of natural light, the detail of the 8 miles road (Hawaii), are captured sharply running across the smooth cost line. With hints onto the large-scale art-photography by Gursky, Kevin’s work is already causing a stir as one of the hottest pieces to view and collect in Miami this year. We are pleased to exhibit these amazing photographs, which touch a topical nerve in contemporary life, symbolising both beauty and wellbeing and the environmental threats on both a local and a global scale.
'Since I was a child, roadways always fascinated me, not matter simple or intricate. Prior to capturing this image, I had taken the world-renowned drive called “road to hana” which is approximately 64 miles in length and takes 7 plus hours to complete. Where this image was taken, Mile Marker 8, is close to a huge surf destination on the north side of Maui. “8-mile” to me, reminds me of my youth and how important infrastructure meant to me then and now. I look at the colors and the calmness of this image and the first thought that comes to mind is “peace be the journey.”
