On Friday, October 6th, Artfooly Gallery shall host the opening of the exhibition „ I AM Y”, presenting works by Romanian artists Mircea Moroianu and Sergiu Chihaia, who, in a series of drawings, collages and installations, debate the topic of the young generation with which we share the city. Crazy about technology, sensitive, with pre-established verbal expressions, half in Romanian, half in English, the "millennials" become, in the two artists’ works, the „emoticon generation”, characters influenced psychologically and emotionally by the technology they use. At the same time, Sergiu and Mircea portrait them as cool, extremely handy with all information, genetically creative and extremely urbanized, in the case of those living in cities, aproaching them as urban outlaws, adapted to the latest challenges which are less physical and more mental and digital. The show is curated by Anca Negescu and it participates in Bucharest’s White Night of the Galleries (NAG) 2017. It remains open until October 13th, Wednesday to Friday.
