These artists depict a range of images that are easily recognizable objects, landscapes, and figures. They are expressing ideas that are often complex and incur a range of responses from viewers from emotional associations to symbolism to pure aesthetic enjoyment; different but also often similar to responses to abstract works. From Claudio Bravo a series of fabric images become beautiful minimal hyper-realism. Mary Joan Waid will be shown with her complex still life domestic works. Peter Charlap has a series of vintage cameras - objects also included in a large figural work. Cameron Martin, Adam Straus, and Ellen Glasgow all have works depicting clearly distinct takes on landscape. Going beyond color, structure and texture, each of these artists accomplishes a further connection reaching out to viewers.
