Barry Whistler Gallery is eager to present, on the occasion of celebrating 30 years, an anniversary exhibition featuring all artists in its current roster, as well as some highlights seen along the way. This installation promises new work from stalwarts like Tom Orr, Linnea Glatt, John Pomara, and Ann Stautberg.
This exhibition is also significant because in celebrating 30 years as a gallery, we also mark 30 years of calling Deep Ellum home. As Barry Whistler Gallery prepares for a move to its new location, 315 Cole Street, it seems fitting that this would be the last exhibition at the current 2909 Canton location. It is with remembrance and excitement that we turn our focus after this exhibition to a new building, neighborhood, and home. We are also pleased to be working with Buchanan Architecture and look forward to sharing our artists works in a new and dynamic setting.
Also on view in this exhibition is Jonathan Cross, Nathan Green, Luke Harnden, Terrell James, Ellsworth Kelly, Darryl Lauster, Lawrence Lee, Kirsten Macy, Skeet McAuley, Michael C. McMillen, Michael Miller, John-Paul Philippe, Dan Rizzie, Andrea Rosenberg, Johnnie Winona Ross, Allison V. Smith, Ann Stautberg, Lorraine Tady, John Wilcox, Robert Wilhite, Leslie Wilkes, Danny Williams, and Mark Williams.
