LARGEST EXHIBITION OF PABLO PICASSO WORKS IN ORLANDO

Benefitting the Florida Hospital for Children
ORLANDO, Fla. – Baterbys, Orlando’s premier art gallery has opened its doors to the public to view one of the largest exhibitions of major works by world-renowned 20th century master, Pablo Picasso. Entitled “Diary of a Master,” the exhibition showcases the entire 347 series, numerous signed etchings, aquatints and linocuts, and lithographs from his Verve suites. It also features multiple works on display from local private collectors as well as local artists who were chosen as exhibitionists from the gallery’s call-to-artists competition.
The exhibition kicked off with an opening reception on Saturday, February 18th that attracted hundreds of attendees from all over Florida. The gala event allowed attendees to view and experience the artist’s masterful renditions on display while enjoying live musical performances, Spanish-style hors d’eourves and beverages, a silent auction, a custom Picasso themed photo booth, and more. The reception included an introduction from the Florida Hospital for Children’s Vice President Deb Spielman followed by an introduction on the artist and the artworks on display by the Baterbys’ Fine Art Specialist, Alexandria Trsek.
General viewing of the exhibition continues till May 5th with a minimum five dollar ($5.00) donation per person as an entrance fee. 100% of the general admission ticket sales, t-shirts and guidebooks as well as a portion of all proceeds from Picasso artworks sold for the duration of the exhibition will continue to be given directly to the Florida Hospital for Children. T-shirts and Guidebook are $20.00 each.
Multiple events related to the exhibition are currently scheduled to include movie nights, paint nights, and luncheons with Picasso. Movie nights will feature a selection of documentaries about the artist at the gallery’s main showroom. Paint nights will include fun and educational guided painting classes in Picasso-esque styles while enjoying Spanish wines. Luncheons are currently held every other Wednesday throughout the exhibition as a way for attendees to break out of the normal work day routine and enjoy lunch offerings while perusing the incredible collection of art on display.
