For Sydney Contemporary 2015, Bath Street Gallery is showcasing a selection of works by thirteen New Zealand-based contemporary artists. These highly collectible works reflect a range of perspectives on New Zealand and the Pacific.
This September, Bath Street Gallery, Auckland, will be taking the work of thirteen outstanding New Zealand based visual artists to the Sydney Contemporary international art fair. Featuring in the ‘Current Contemporary’ sector, Bath Street Gallery has curated an innovative exhibition to showcase New Zealand contemporary art through a larger selection of artists than would typically be represented by one gallery at an art fair.
Comprising of emerging through to respected senior New Zealand artists, Bath Street Gallery’s selection for Sydney Contemporary 2015 includes works that many visitors will wish to add to their collection. An exhibitor at the inaugural Sydney Contemporary in 2013, Bath Street Gallery’s 2015 booth will feature works ranging from finely rendered painting and sculpture, to socio-political statements and abstract art.
Bath Street Gallery’s booth installation will regularly change the over the course of the art fair. During this time, several of the participating artists will be present at the booth as part of the Sydney Contemporary VIP programme, to meet and discuss their work with potential collectors. Bath Street Gallery is also participating in Art Money, a new, interest-free loan program designed to make owning art accessible with easy, on the spot finance available at the fair.
