About
Radical and Revolutionary. One of the Whitechapel Boys, studied at the Slade under Henry Tonks. Expelled for the audacity of his move from conventional practices. Later he taught at the now London South Bank University, his pupils included Frank Auerbach and Leon Kossoff.
