‘Join us to experience a unique and philosophical concept in sculptural art ; real skeletons seemingly brought back to life with the adornment of pure 24 carat gold leaf…’
Bel-Air Fine Art Geneva is proud to announce the Swiss Premiere of British artist Stephen Cawston. Originally known for his Contemporary Pop Art, Cawston now presents an extraordinary unique collection he worked on for seven years.
‘The Value of Life in Gold’ Part 1 depicts the reanimation of life with sculptures made from human and other species skeletons being brought back to life. No frames or wires here, these skeletons are standing, walking or running, just as they did in life. Once reanimated, Cawston covers his sculptures in pure 24 Carat gold leaf. The Gold represents the value we should, but don’t place on life.
This collection is now exclusively released to the world at Bel-Air Fine Art, starting with a first exhibition in Geneva, from April 25th until May 20th 2018.
