bG Gallery presents John Kilduff’s Ice Cream Parlor at this year’s edition of Scope Miami. An installation and performance by artist and maverick painter John Kilduff, the bG booth will be set up as the artist’s rendition of an ice cream parlor and guests will have the opportunity to have Kilduff serve up his custom ‘ice cream portraits’. The booth is part of the artist’s ‘Fast Food Art’ series, a humorist exploration of fast art for the masses.
John Kilduff is a contemporary artist, who resides and works out of Los Angeles. His formal art training is also based in Los Angeles, earning a BFA from Otis/Parsons School of Art and Design and an MFA from UCLA.
John is the creator and host of the performance art series Let’s Paint TV that features him engaging in everyday behaviors around his home such as running on a treadmill or making drinks while painting. He has also starred on America’s Got Talent, VH1, and Tyra performing some of the antics he features on his show.
Kilduff paints a wide range of subject matter. many of which are comical. He has created everything from lewd depictions of food mixed with sex appeal, portraiture using impasto brush strokes and a jarring color palette, to scenic landscape.
