BG Gallery, in collaboration with the Venice Institute of Contemporary Art, present "Floating Worlds" a survey of new contemporary art from Japan, alongside American artists who roots or work that speaks to our theme. While “floating worlds” is a phrase art historically connected to Ukiyo-e art from Japan from around 1630 to the mid 1800s, we are using it here to refer to the major changes happening in the world we live in - the fleeting, floating nature of life - and the way artists depict this challenge.
