Italo Valenti passes for one of the masters of the technique of collage. In his collages or pasted papers, often painted or repainted, he has invented a dreamlike world that is extended in geometric, refined compositions, which he wanted symbolic of the conscious and unconscious life of the entire universe. Settled in Ascona in 1959, until the end of his life, Italo Valenti is considered as an emblematic figure of contemporary Swiss art.
