An Homage to Shona Elders: Agnes Nyanhongo & Shona Sculptors
Agnes Nyanhongo, the most reown Shona female sculptor alive in Zimbabwe today will be showing many of her special works, and for the first time will be in attendance at the debut of our new Shona sculpture collection.
Sculptor Agnes Nyanhongo, the most renown Shona female sculptor alive in Zimbabwe today, is carrying on the tradition of the first-generation sculptors who founded this distinct stone sculpture movement. For the first time, Agnes, the eldest of the Nyanhongo family and head of the family business, will be in attendance at this year’s debut of our new Shona sculpture collection. Agnes will have many special works, consistent with her theme of women, children, and the role of elders in the community. Join us as we celebrate these new works and be the first to witness these elegant one-of-a-kind sculptures. RSVP for a very special evening.
