BRAND NEW WORLD SALON PRESENTS A SWISS PREMIERE : DANTE GOODS AND BADS
DANTE – Goods And Bads – create objects, products, editions with qualities above and beyond the substantial; associative qualities: emotions, habits, memories, tastes, aversions, the good, the bad, never the ugly.
BRAND NEW WORLD SALON SAYS: “MAKE LOVE, NOT WORK!”
Brand New World Salon is the newly opened boutique contemporary platform to experience design thinking in Zürich. It will change the way people think about and engage with design. It will make design magical and metamorphic. In the “MAKE LOVE!” Program part its mission is to promote collectible design objects that will constantly grow in value. This is why the current inaugural exhibition at the Brand New World Salon presents the world famous DimoreStudio from Milan, for the first time in Switzerland.
The “NOT WORK!” program showcases people, projects and ideas that will change the world’s understanding of design, which is why Brand New World Salon shows another Swiss premiere at Neue Räume 2017 – DANTE – Goods And Bads. This exhibition will be consequently showed at the Brand New World Salon in Zürich’s Dufourstrasse 169.
Time for introspection. Time for deconstruction.
Questions we ask ourselves: what is inspiration, really?
What does it all mean, really?
(Hell if we know!)
But someone was there before us. Someone always is.
Creativity is never just creation, it is always reference.
To the Girl I liked in Kindergarden, maybe. Batman.
David Lynch in 1987. The list, of course, goes on.
(There is no list!)
Heroes and Villains, Shadows and Ghosts. Silent Associés
all of them.
Falstaff by Stefan Diez
15 years after winning together Salone Satellite, Christophe de la Fontaine and Stefan Diez are yet again joining forces – this time in the form of Falstaff armchair designed by Diez for Dante- Goods and Bads Silent Associe collection. The chair is a result of letting the eye wonder outside the limits of upholstering, resulting in a blossoming leather seat.
Charlotte? by Christophe de la Fontaine
We don’t have to tell you whose presence is radiating from the revised version of the modern chaise longue. The construction-free mattress, even though giving the impression of a defined curve has a free flow, adjusting its form to the body’s natural position.
Bavaresk Table Oval by Christophe de la Fontaine
Following the evolution of the Bavaresk Table series, introducing an oval shape and a glass top was logical step, consequently bringing the alternative of a conference table to an already established dinning room nature.
Plus ou Moins by Christophe de la Fontaine
There is an undeniable architecturality to the soft lines of the Plus ou Moins. The aluminum three part structure is convenient to manipulate, declinable both vertically and horizontally, making it a truly universal shelving system.
