Casa Quien celebrates its Second Anniversary with "TRIGGERED"
SANTO DOMINGO.- On February 2nd at 7:00 p.m. Casa Quien presents "TRIGGERED", an interdisciplinary Group Art Exhibition in commemoration of Casa Quien's Second Anniversary, co-curated by Sara Hermann and Amy Hussein. Works by Artists Maurice Sánchez, Javier Maria, Gabriella D'Alessandro, Karla Read, Máximo Del Castillo, Gina Goico, Carlos De Leon, Alina Landry, Laura Castro, Joiri Minaya and Amy Hussein and the Blue Curry Invited Artists (Nassau), Andrés Ramírez Gaviria (Colombia). The show also features an edible design proposal by FOOD & EVENT and Chef Daniela Gaviria.
A Trigger is experienced after seeing, hearing or experience something harmful or vexatious, and in consequence causes a chain reaction. Each detonator releases a memory or flashback and transports people to a trauma known or feared. "TRIGGERED" is a collection of fears and triggers. When scrutinizing in the elements that trigger feelings of anxiety and suspicion, or that literally provoke terror there are also sought, ways of solution and atonement from the Art.
