Casati Gallery was founded in 2003 by Ugo Alfano Casati in the edgy meatpacking district of Fulton Market in Chicago. The gallery focuses on furniture, lighting, objects and art from post-war italian to global contemporary.
Casati Gallery is pleased to take part in Nomad St Moritz at Chesa Planta. In our location—a grand hallway of this great estate--we will present museum-quality modern and contemporay art and objects. Of note will be a selection of pieces by Michela Cattai, an artist who utilizes the oldest of Murano glass techniques to create works of contemporary shapes and textures. Last September, Ms. Cattai presented several works at Venice Glass Week, the city’s first international festival dedicated to the art of glass. In addition, our gallery will showcase pieces of important Italian mid-20th century design by Gino Sarfatti, Franco Albini , Ignazio Gardella and Osvaldo Borsani . Artworks by Paolo Icaro, Gianni Colombo, Fausto Milotti and other contemporary artists will also be on display.
