Amongst the many mixed media contemporary artists, YoAhn Han’s intricate collage-esque paintings set themselves apart. Han’s use of color, space, and his thought provoking subject matter marry on the wood panel surface to create a world of his own self exploration. Han is a Boston based artist whose work focuses heavily on the theme of duality, specifically that of life and death. He focuses on expressing his own questions, discomforts, and experiences with both opposing concepts through a variety of plants and insects that in some way represent this dichotomy.
