Christopher Martin Gallery is pleased to announce our participation in this year's Art Hamptons, from July 2-5.
The gallery will exhibit Martins’ most recent works, abstract sculptures by Michael Enn Sirvet and introduce a
premier collection of limited edition prints of selected Chris‘ works. Both artists will be in attendance.
Art Hamptons is the original art fair of the Hamptons. The 8th edition will take place in a 40,000 sq. ft. tented
pavilion on private estate grounds at Lumber Lane & Scuttle Hole Rd. in Bridgehampton, NY with an Opening
Night Preview to be held on Thursday, July 2nd. The new dates position the longest-running Hamptons art fair
as the first major art event of the summer and an exciting enhancement to visitors’ 4th of July celebration.
Please join us a we celebrate Chris’ landmark anniversary with a show of his most recent paintings done in a
new technique: acrylic on honed acrylic. Featuring a matt finish, the new surfaces control reflections and glare
while exuding a new found elegance and sophistication. Darker colors now feature a rich velvet feel while the
metallic pigments shine with a renewed vibrancy. The result is both exquisite and mesmerizing.
We are excited to present the work of structuralist American sculptor Michael Enn Sirvet at Art Hamptons.
Sirvet sculptures relate the intricacy of mechanical systems to the complex rhythms, structures and patterns
discovered in nature. In his pieces for the show, Michael recreated the ocean’s waves in steel tangent lines
and created monolithic totems that abstracts and fuses the beautiful balance of harmony and disharmony
displayed in nature.
We are proud to introduce a collection of limited edition works made after a selection of original paintings.
Capturing the upmost detail of Chris’ reverse glass paintings technique through museum quality high resolution
scanning techniques, the premier collection display colors extremely close to those of the original works.
Printed by infusing the dyes directly onto the surface of aluminum plates through a process call sublimation,
the premier edition of 5 + Ap is being released at the largest possible size that current technology allows.
The Premier edition prints offer an attractive pricing structure and are a sophisticated option that can be placed
indoor and outdoors. An edition at a smaller custom sizes will also be available.
