The lyrical, sensuous and detailed execution in Martin's paintings and in Sirvet's sculptures are a reflection of the timeless pursuit of the artists’ mind. These artworks reflect nature, and in turn nature reflects upon the artists that seeks to master its forces for creation.
With boldness and serenity, with control and without restrain, Christopher Martin & Michael Sirvet abstract their own observations of nature through the brushstrokes, materials, and structural forms that each makes, utilizes, and creates.
At first glance, the paintings and sculptures display a rational balance, and an undeniable harmony. Upon contemplation, these works reflect an organic sense of existence, and a natural ability to transform the space that they inhabit. The artworks reflect nature, and in turn nature reflects upon each artist that observes and use its laws.
Michael Enn Sirvet is an engineer and structuralist that maintains an active art practice in Washington D.C. His works can be found in several private collections and U.S embassies around the world.
