Matete, or Perversioni on canvas
F.M. painting plays on the thread of polarity: ideas and fantasies are thrown on canvas with a vibrant and lustrous vitality. There they become objects, characters, shadows that hide the looks. They find themselves at home among the wide backgrounds of color that evoke at the same time the opposite sensations of a strong materiality and of an alienating oneirism, betraying only their obsession in the nervous lines that deform the bodies. In the paintings of F.M. we therefore find a world of imagination that takes shape, but maintains its unresolved distortions and tortuosity unaltered. F.M. he keeps them on the canvas and makes them the characteristic feature of his art. In the paintings of F.M. there are the faces and bodies of Tamara de Lempicka, the lines (and the passion) for Schiele, the fascination for the avant-garde. But above all there is the art of a curious, extrovert, imaginative painter. And a little, perverse.
